Escape from Tarkov Kord Breach Battle Pass: Every Document Location
Escape from Tarkov’s first Battle Pass does things a little differently. There’s no paid VIP lane, no traditional XP bar, and no need to buy a premium edition just to access the rewards. Instead, the Kord Breach Battle Pass asks you to hunt down special Documents during raids and turn them in to unlock its rewards.
That sounds simple until you realize just how specific some of these spawns are.
Documents only appear at particular locations on particular maps, there’s a daily collection limit, and some of the better spots sit behind locked doors or in places where getting greedy can turn a quick loot run into a trip back to the main menu. The upside is that this gives you a completely different reason to learn Tarkov’s maps.
Here’s every known Document location for the Kord Breach Battle Pass, along with the fastest ways to farm them.
How the Kord Breach Battle Pass Works

The Kord Breach Battle Pass is completely free. There isn’t a premium or VIP reward track hiding behind a purchase.
Instead, progression is tied to Documents.
Rather than earning Battle Pass XP and moving through conventional levels, you collect special seasonal Documents during raids. Each Battle Pass reward has its own Document requirements, which you can inspect directly from the Battle Pass menu. Once you’ve turned in the required number and types, the reward becomes available to claim.
The system is shared across Tarkov’s different modes and characters. You can progress the Battle Pass and collect Documents while playing:
- Permanent PvP
- Seasonal PvP
- PvE
Rewards you unlock are immediately available to all of your characters and remain unlocked even after the season ends or your profile is reset through prestige.
There are some exceptions. Battle Pass currency, Documents, and Black Division crates do not carry over. Black Division crates are also not synchronized between characters, meaning you can claim them for only one character.
And yes, there is a paid shortcut.
You can purchase Classified Documents through the Expansion Hub and use them to substitute for regular Documents. So while the Battle Pass itself is free, you can spend real money to speed up the process.
That’s about as Tarkov as a free Battle Pass can get.
Document Types and Where They Spawn
There are eight regular Document categories that can be found during raids. Each one is tied to three specific maps.
A ninth type, Classified Documents, works differently. These can be purchased through the Expansion Hub and substituted for any regular Document needed for a reward.
| Document type | What it contains | Maps |
|---|---|---|
| Technical documentation | Operating manuals for TerraGroup equipment | Shoreline, Woods, Lighthouse |
| Medical documents | Medical records containing TerraGroup research findings | The Lab, Ground Zero, The Labyrinth |
| User documentation | Documentation issued to new TerraGroup employees | Ground Zero, Streets of Tarkov, The Lab |
| Test documentation | Records of experiments conducted in TerraGroup-controlled laboratories | Shoreline, Woods, Icebreaker |
| Blueprints and technical documentation | TerraGroup blueprints and technical data stored on a disk | Interchange, Factory, The Labyrinth |
| Project documentation | Tarkov Infraline documents and blueprints unrelated to transportation infrastructure | Factory, Reserve, Customs |
| PMC personnel files | TerraGroup personnel records covering PMC operators | Reserve, Lighthouse, Icebreaker |
| Financial documents | Financial reports from TerraGroup and affiliated companies | Customs, Streets of Tarkov, Interchange |
| Classified documents | Universal Document that can replace any regular type | Expansion Hub |

The important part is that Documents don’t spawn randomly across the entire map. Each map has specific locations where you need to look.
There’s another source, too: dead Black Division soldiers. These can appear on any map when you’re playing a seasonal character, although Black Division is mostly associated with Icebreaker and Terminal.
Seasonal characters can also obtain Documents through the Kord Breach seasonal questline.
Classified Documents: The Paid Shortcut
Classified Documents are effectively the Battle Pass’s universal currency.
If a reward requires a specific regular Document and you’re missing it, a Classified Document can be used instead. That makes them particularly useful when you’re stuck searching for one last category.
Unlike normal Documents, Classified Documents aren’t raid spawns. You purchase them from the Expansion Hub with real money.
So if you really don’t want to spend another raid searching for that one missing Document, you can simply pay for the substitute.
Different Document types can also apparently be exchanged with one another, although the exact mechanics for that exchange aren’t covered here.
Battle Pass Daily Document Limits
You can’t farm Documents forever in a single day.
The Battle Pass places a daily limit on how many Documents can be found, and the limit depends on the mode you’re playing.
| Game mode | Daily Document limit |
|---|---|
| PvP Zone | 15 |
| PvE Zone | 10 |
| PvP Season | 25 |
PvE has the lowest cap at 10, which makes sense considering it’s the easiest of the three modes.
The limit is shared between your characters, so switching characters doesn’t give you another pool of Documents.
You can see the current limit at the bottom of the Battle Pass screen alongside the Document types.
Practice mode apparently doesn’t count for farming Documents.
If you have PvE access, the simplest strategy is to grab your first 10 Documents there.
Documents Are Physical Loot
There’s one easy detail to overlook: Documents are actual physical items.
They don’t automatically disappear into your quest-item inventory when you pick them up. You need room in your pockets or inventory to take them.
The good news is that they can be placed inside your secure container, which makes it much easier to protect a valuable find.
Documents of the same type can also stack. The exact maximum stack size isn’t known here, but one raid produced three Documents at once: two User Documents and one Medical Document.
And yes, you can find multiple Documents in a single raid.
If you’ve already found one, don’t immediately sprint toward extract. If the route is safe, check the other known locations on the way out.
All Escape from Tarkov Battle Pass Document Locations

Not every spawn has been discovered or independently verified yet, so this list can change as more locations are found.
For farming purposes, that’s actually good news. The more confirmed spawns the community finds, the easier it becomes to build efficient routes instead of gambling an entire raid on one location.
Ground Zero Document Locations
Possible types: Medical documents and User documentation.
Ground Zero has several useful spawns concentrated around the TerraGroup building.
TerraGroup Building — Second Floor
Check these locations:
- Blue couches: Head upstairs and inspect the tops of the blue couches.
- Hallway bench: Enter the door at the end of the hallway, turn left, and check the top of the bench.
- Room 3 workstations: Search the workstation desks throughout Room 3. Medical Documents can appear here.
- Room 4 workstations: Room 4 is locked from the hallway. Reach it through Room 3 and cross the balcony.
There are also several newer locations worth checking:
- Tarbank ground-floor glass table: Enter Tarbank and check the glass table near the barbed-wire area.
- Tarbank second floor: Search the desks and exposed surfaces upstairs.
- Coffee Maniac rounded table: User Documents can spawn on the rounded table inside Coffee Maniac.
The TerraGroup building is especially useful because it is also where your game begins.
On the second-floor reception, check the reception desk, blue couches, and chairs with coffee tables. Continue down the corridor and inspect the bench.
The strongest area is Rooms 3 and 4.
Room 3 contains a kitchen and medical supplies on a table. Check that table as you enter, then search the other tables with PCs. Room 4 can be reached through the balcony outside the window, or by obtaining the key from the dead scientist on the first floor.
Once inside Room 4, search the PC desks.
Don’t waste time opening drawers or other loot containers. The relevant spawns are on the exposed surfaces.
Factory Document Locations

Possible types: Project documentation and Blueprints and technical documentation.
Factory has several clusters of Document spawns.
Med Laboratory Near Gate 2
Start with the laboratory building near Gate 2.
- Ground-floor wooden bench: Check the top of the bench near the entrance.
- Second-floor laboratory desk: Go upstairs and search the desk inside the room shown in the original location reference. Blueprints and technical documentation can spawn here.
There is also a notable spawn in the office beside the lab entrance. Check the toppled table and the niche of the table next to it.
The lab itself doesn’t appear to have Document spawns.
Third-Floor Office Area
On the third floor:
- Breached office: Breach the door and check to the left beside the metal cabinet.
- Safe office desk and drawer: Enter the neighboring office with the safe. Search the desk and open drawer. Blueprints and technical documentation can appear inside.
- Filing cabinet: Check the top of the filing cabinet on the left, along with the nearby desk.
There’s another Project Document location inside the breachable office nearby. The room has furniture scattered around it; search to the left near or on top of the metal cabinet.
First-Floor Office
One room can’t be entered normally.
Leave the building, find the window leading into the room, and climb through it. Once inside, check the desk with the monitor and the top of the filing cabinet.
Gate 1
From Gate 1, turn around and follow the right-hand wall.
You’ll find two jackets near a set of blue lockers. Check the lockers.
Additional Factory Locations
More Document spots include:
- Polikhim keycard room: Search the floor beside the safe on the right for Project documentation.
- Gate 3 workshop: Check the small workshop or shipping-container-style room outside Gate 3, especially the desk near the toolbox.
- Laboratory building kitchen: Search the kitchen below the laboratory.
- Scav Bunker: Check the server racks above the bunker.
- Gas Analyzer room: Search the desktop beside the lamp.
- Gate 3 shipping-container room: Check the desk inside the container room near Gate 3.
Factory is one of the best maps to start with simply because the routes are short and the Document spots are relatively easy to memorize.
Just keep an eye out for Tagilla.
Woods Document Locations
Possible types: Technical documentation and Test documentation.
The original Woods route has three useful locations, with many more now reported around USEC Camp, EMERCOM, and Sawmill.
Original Locations
- Crashed plane cockpit: Enter the cockpit and search inside.
- USEC checkpoint near Sawmill: Enter the small checkpoint cabin and inspect the top of the filing cabinet.
- Dead PMC near Scav House: Find the damaged black SUV near Scav House and check behind it. A Document can spawn beside the dead PMC.
The crashed plane is normally a low-traffic location unless someone is working on early Jaeger or Mechanic tasks.
The USEC checkpoint is busier because it’s on the route toward the pickup extract. Check the two metal cabinets and nearby military cases.
The third location is out in the open. On the road from the checkpoint toward the pickup extract, look for the burnt SUV and tarp-covered body near Scav House. Check around the tarp.
A lootable dead USEC can also spawn beside the SUV.
Be careful before stopping to loot.
Additional Woods Locations
Woods has considerably more Document spawns than the original three-location route suggested:
- USEC Camp — white plastic chair: Search the chair inside the camp.
- Sniper rock — sleeping bags: Check the sleeping bags near the huge sniper rock.
- EMERCOM Camp — white container: Search beside the corpse inside the white container.
- USEC checkpoint — portable toilet: Check around the portable toilet.
- Southern USEC Camp — green barrel: Search the chair beside the green barrel.
- Southern USEC Camp — tent: Check beside the bed inside the southernmost tent.
- Northern USEC Camp — stretcher: Search beside the corpse and stretcher.
- Old Sawmill — southern prefab shack: Search the floor inside the southern prefab building.
- Old Sawmill — brick building: Check the floor beside the bookshelf.
- Sawmill — lakeside shack: Search the drawer inside the small shack near the water.
- Sawmill — northern hut: Of the three small huts, enter the northernmost and inspect the chair.
USEC Camp is particularly worth visiting if you’re already on that side of the map.
Interchange Document Locations
Possible types: Blueprints and technical documentation and Financial documents.
Interchange currently has several known office-based locations.
GOSHAN / OLI Offices
Facing GOSHAN, turn right and enter the double doors leading toward the offices.
Inside the smaller control-room-style office, check the desk beside the stack of books. Financial Documents have been found there.
There’s another useful office area near IDEA. When facing the store, the offices are at the left end. Search the desks throughout the room.
IDEA
Enter the IDEA office area and check the desk immediately to the left.
Continue searching the tops of the other desks in the room.
OLI Loading Dock
Check the information desk or kiosk closest to the OLI loading docks.
Computer Rooms
Blueprints and technical documentation have been reported inside Interchange’s computer rooms.
Whenever you’re passing through one, check the desktops.
There are also reports of Documents spawning in newer exterior sections of Interchange, but the exact objects haven’t been identified well enough yet to recommend a specific search route.
Customs Document Locations

Possible types: Project documentation and Financial documents.
Customs has a nice mixture of quick office searches and locations that require keys.
Big Red
Start with the two blue shacks beside Big Red.
Search:
- Desks
- Tops of cabinets
- Other exposed surfaces
Financial Documents have been found in one of these locations.
There’s also another blue shack on the opposite side of the warehouse. Check its desk and filing cabinets.
Inside Big Red itself, climb upstairs and use the Customs office key. Enter the first room on the right and search the tops of the tables.
Crackhouse
Go upstairs into the library room.
Search the table, filing cabinets, and bookshelves. Don’t just glance over the shelves: Financial Documents can spawn between individual books, including on the far bookshelf in the corner.
Stronghold
Enter the smaller interior area with the couch.
Check directly on top of it.
Old Gas Station
Search the desk, floor, and shelves inside the station.
Two-Story Dorms
There are two spots to know:
- Guardhouse key room: Check the ledge or table near the room.
- Room 216: Go upstairs and search the desk and cabinets.
Three-Story Dorms
Check:
- Guard room: Search the unlocked room. The exact surface isn’t specified maps.
- Room 212: Go upstairs and search the desk holding the computer.
- Room 304: Unlock the room and check the nightstand for Financial Documents.
The easiest Customs route to remember starts around the red Customs administration building.
There are two blue shacks on its territory, including one with a medical crate. Search the desks, metal cabinets, and surrounding surfaces in both.
The administration offices require a key, but you’ll probably have one anyway because of early tasks. Once inside, search the office desks.
Another location is the medical building behind the two factories where Scavs spawn. Its windows overlook the Scav base. Go upstairs and inspect the filing cabinets, desks, and bookshelves.
Then there’s the Scav base itself, the area where the Goons can sometimes appear. If you’ve done the task involving placing posters to unlock the Ref trader, it’s the same room with beds and a couch. Search the couch.
The Old Gas Station is another quick check.
In the two-story dorms, there’s a spawn at reception, outside rather than inside, followed by another in Room 216.
The three-story dorms have a reception spawn as well, plus Room 212 on the second floor.
The Lab Document Locations
Possible types: Medical documents and User documentation.
Labs is probably one of the least pleasant places to farm Documents. You need to remember several locations while dealing with the usual risks of running the map.
Reception / Meeting Room
Go to the second floor above reception.
Face the cat statues and turn right. Enter the unlocked room, break the glass, and search the oval meeting table.
Red Keycard Area
From the cat statues, turn left toward the Red Keycard room.
Search the workstations directly opposite the entrance and check the tops of the desks and tables.
Green Keycard Medical Area
The medical area requires the Green Keycard.
The exact spawn surface hasn’t been identified here, but the area is worth checking.
There’s also a table near the bookshelf after entering the Green Keycard area and turning left.
Additional Labs Locations
- Residential Unit — first room: Check the desk in the first room on the right.
- Residential Unit — rear room: Continue farther into the Residential Unit and check the desk in the back room.
- Southern offices: Search the table in the southern office area.
- Parking area: Check the table around the parking section.
- Violet/Red side: Search the furthest PC desk on the Violet and Red Keycard side.
- Black Keycard area: Check the large glass-office table close to Black Keycard.
- Beside Black Keycard: Search the office immediately next to the Black Keycard area.
If you’re running Labs specifically for Documents, the reception route is probably the easiest one to remember: cat statues, right side, meeting room.
Then return to the statues and check the opposite direction for the Red Keycard area. The Infirmary side with the Green Keycard is another potential stop.
Shoreline Document Locations
Possible types: Technical documentation and Test documentation.
Several Shoreline spots are spread between the Pier, Weather Station, Gas Station, Cottage, and Smuggler’s Base.
- Pier emergency beds: Search around the emergency beds outside the main Pier building for Test documentation.
- Pier building counter: Enter the main building and check the counter for Technical documentation.
- Weather Station second floor: Search exposed surfaces and desks upstairs for Test documentation.
- Gas Station office: Go past the burning shelves and check the desk inside the office on the right.
- Cottage rear entrance: Search the desk near the rear entrance.
- Smuggler’s Base southern warehouse: Enter the southern warehouse and check the white chair along the northern wall.
There are additional reports of Documents around:
- Resort
- Power Station
- Pier
- Smuggler’s Base
The exact objects involved haven’t been pinned down well enough yet, so there’s little reason to search every random desk unless you’re already passing through.
Lighthouse Document Locations

Possible types: Technical documentation and PMC personnel files.
Lighthouse has a surprisingly large number of Document spawns, although several are located inside the Water Treatment Plant.
Water Treatment Plant
- Building 2 radio room: Search the radio room near the vehicle for PMC personnel files.
- Southeastern basin tent: Check inside the tent at the southeastern water basin.
- Building 3: Search the interior, particularly desks and work areas.
- Building 1 western office: Go upstairs and enter the western office. Search the desk.
Chalets and Pier
- Scav Village red two-story house: Go upstairs and search the second-floor bedroom.
- Blue Chalet bedroom: Check the rounded table upstairs.
- Big Chalet garage: Search the desks and exposed surfaces inside the garage.
- Big Chalet side building: Check the small building near the grill.
- Small Chalet bedroom: Search inside the bedroom.
- Small Chalet tennis court tent: Check the nearby tent beside the tennis court.
- Big Pier building: Go upstairs and search the desks and tables.
- Double Pier right building: There are at least two Document spawns inside, so search the desks and exposed surfaces.
- PMC House: Enter the large house beside the main road, go upstairs, and search the right side.
There are also two particularly easy-to-miss spots:
- Blue Chalet wine room: Check the table beside the wine room on the first floor. Technical documentation has been reported here.
- Central western Pier: Go upstairs and check the table drawer on the second floor.
Lighthouse may be one of the better maps for farming PMC personnel files simply because so many possible locations can be checked in a single run.
The problem?
Rogues.
Several of these locations force you into areas where a Document hunt can quickly turn into a very expensive mistake.
Reserve Document Locations
Possible types: Project documentation and PMC personnel files.
Reserve rewards players who come prepared with the right keys.
Known Locations
- D2: Enter the room directly opposite the D2 extraction and search the furniture and exposed surfaces.
- Black Bishop underground: Go below Black Bishop and check the desk for PMC personnel files.
- RB-KORL shelving: Unlock RB-KORL and inspect the shelving immediately to the right. One reported spawn is on the second shelf from the bottom.
- RB-KORL between shelves: Search between the shelving units for Project documentation.
- RB-KPRL weapon locker: Unlock RB-KPRL and check to the left of the blue weapon locker or safe.
- RB-KPRL window: Search the surfaces around the window as well.
- Command Center: Check the floor near the desks beside the D2 power switch. This location is community-reported, so treat it as a secondary spot rather than a confirmed main route.
RB-KORL and RB-KPRL are especially useful because each has multiple possible Document locations.
Bring the keys.
Streets of Tarkov Document Locations
Possible types: Financial documents and User documentation.
Streets has several office-heavy spawns, with TerraGroup and Unity Credit Bank being particularly useful.
- TerraGroup server room: Search inside the server room for User documentation.
- Unity Credit Bank: Search the desks for User documentation.
- Cardinal corporate apartment: Enter the apartment inside Cardinal Residential Complex and check the table.
- Y21 garage extraction room: Search the table inside the room used to activate the Y21 garage extraction.
- Unity Credit Bank Financial Documents: Financial Documents can also appear inside the bank, making it useful regardless of which Streets Document type you need.
- TerraGroup reception: Search the shelving beneath and around the reception counter.
- TerraGroup security room bookshelf: Check the bookshelf.
- TerraGroup security room drawers: Search beside the drawers for another possible spawn.
- Financial institution meeting room: Go to the second floor and search the desk inside the meeting room.
- Office behind Beluga: Go upstairs and inspect the shelving.
There are repeated reports of Documents around Concordia, LexOs, Cardinal, and the Klimov area.
The problem is that the reports are still too vague to treat those as confirmed spawn points. For now, stick to the locations above.
Icebreaker Document Locations

Possible types: PMC personnel files and Test documentation.
Icebreaker has picked up quite a few newly discovered Document locations, and its relatively linear layout makes this one of the easier maps to route efficiently.
You can often check several locations without making a huge detour.
Starting Area
- Room opposite the green flare: Check the room across from the flare for PMC personnel files.
- Green flare: Test documentation can spawn around or underneath the flare.
Level 1 Infirmary
- Medical Office: Check the desk for PMC personnel files.
- Medical area: Search exposed surfaces for Test documentation.
- Med Storage: Search the shelves and other exposed surfaces.
Route Toward the Helipad
- Crate area: Search around the group of crates before reaching the helipad.
- Small room on the left: Enter the room and check the shelving at the back.
- Drone room: Search the room before the helipad.
- Secured room beneath helipad: Check the shelving inside.
Boss Area
There’s a password-locked room one level above the boss area.
Search beneath the desk for PMC personnel files, then check the bookshelf for Test documentation.
Icebreaker is a good example of where you don’t need to make a dedicated detour for every Document. If a spawn is along your normal route, check it and keep moving.
The Labyrinth Document Locations
Possible types: Medical documents and Blueprints and technical documentation.
The Labyrinth’s Document spawns have a recurring theme: dead TerraGroup personnel.
If you see a scientist or worker lying dead in an important area, check around the body before moving on.
Known locations include:
- Prototype Weapons meeting room: Search the wooden crate.
- Prototype Weapons meeting room scientist: Check beside the dead scientist in the same room.
- Observation Room: Search beside the scientist’s body.
- Central tractor area: Find the dead scientist near the tractor and check the ground beside the body.
- Observation Room key door: Search beside the dead worker near the key door. Medical Documents can spawn around the body.
It’s a simple rule, but one that’s easy to forget when you’re busy trying not to get murdered in the Labyrinth.
Best Tips for Farming Kord Breach Documents
Once you’ve got the spawn locations down, the Battle Pass becomes much easier to farm.
Keep these rules in mind:
- Watch the daily cap. You can’t collect Documents indefinitely.
- Stack matching Documents. The same types can stack in your inventory and stash.
- Search multiple locations in one raid. Finding one Document doesn’t mean the rest of the spawns are empty.
- Leave room in your secure container. Even an Alpha container gives you somewhere safe to store Documents.
- Use PvE when possible. It’s the safest way to get your first batch.
- Use Scavs. You can find Battle Pass Documents while playing as a Scav, letting you farm without putting your PMC at risk.
- Start with smaller maps. Ground Zero and Factory are excellent starting points.
- Watch out for Tagilla on Factory.
- Bring keys. Some Document locations are behind locked doors.
- Remember the Battle Pass page order. You must unlock all rewards on the current page before you can claim rewards from the next one.
- There are 12 Battle Pass pages in total.
- Classified Documents aren’t required. You can unlock every Battle Pass reward without buying the universal Documents.
The daily limits make route planning more important than simply grinding one map over and over. You get 10 Documents in PvE, 15 in the PvP Zone, and 25 in PvP Season, and that cap is shared across your characters.
The Best Way to Farm the Battle Pass

If I were setting up a farming route from scratch, I’d start with PvE and grab the first 10 Documents there.
After that, I’d lean heavily on Scav runs for the remaining 15 rather than repeatedly risking a geared PMC.
For the maps themselves, start small. Ground Zero and Factory let you learn the spawn locations quickly and get in and out without spending half the raid crossing the map. Once you’ve got those routes memorized, move into Customs, Interchange, Woods, and the larger locations.
And don’t forget the most important rule: you don’t need to buy Classified Documents to finish the Battle Pass.
The whole thing can be completed through normal gameplay.
That’s arguably the best part of the system. Tarkov already has plenty of quests that send you running through the same maps for the hundredth time. Documents give you another reason to actually look around, memorize weird little corners of each location, and explore places you might normally sprint straight past.
Just don’t get greedy.
Finding three Documents in one raid feels great. Finding three Documents and then dying because you decided to check one more desk feels extremely Tarkov.
